The Integrated Omics Core provides coordinated, end-to-end support for omics-based research, integrating experimental planning, sequencing strategy, bioinformatics analysis, biological interpretation, reporting, publication support, data submission, and trainee development.
The Core works with investigators from the earliest stages of a project to ensure that the scientific question drives the study design, platform selection, analytical workflow, and interpretation of results. By engaging early in the research process, the Core helps investigators develop a biologically informed and technically feasible omics strategy before samples are generated or submitted for sequencing.
Services include:
• Pre-sequencing consultation: study design, biostatistical considerations, best practices for sample generation, and metadata planning
• Bulk RNA sequencing
• Single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing
• Spatial transcriptomics
• Metagenomics, including 16S rRNA gene sequencing and whole-genome shotgun sequencing
• Proteomics
• Multi-omics data integration
• Customized pipeline development
• Biological interpretation of results in the context of the original research question
• Report generation and data submission to public repositories
• Manuscript and grant support
• Training and mentoring for students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, and project leads in bench-to-analysis omics workflows
For scheduling and project consultation, contact the Core Director, Dr. Richa Singhal.
